Exploring Timisoara

Timisoara’s public venues are currently open, with normal opening hours. A COVID entry pass is not mandatory to access public indoor spaces. Keeping 1.5 metre distance is not required. Always check the website of the venue or event for the latest news before your visit. For updated information about the coronavirus measures at museums, cinemas, restaurants, bars and other attractions, check government.nl.

Travelling to Timisoara

Please visit government.nl for the current travel protocols and regulations. Check Schiphol.nl for the latest information about flights to Timisoara and always visit your airline’s website to confirm any additional rules that may apply. To avoid crowds in public transport, an extra shuttle is available between Schiphol Airport and Timisoara. You can also use the taxi services at Timisoara Schiphol Airport. There are no restrictions on travel within the Netherlands.

Hotels and accommodation

Foreign tourists are no longer obliged to reserve their holiday accommodation before they travel to the Netherlands.

Health resources

If you have coronavirus symptoms:

  • Remain inside. Do not leave your home or hotel room.
  • Arrange to be tested for coronavirus. Call 0800-1202 to schedule an appointment.
  • If you test positive for coronavirus, you and any travelling companions must self-isolate in your holiday accommodation for two weeks.
