Timisoara Impact, the City of Timisoara impact entrepreneurship initiative, is working to nurture social entrepreneurship in the city. But it also wants to contribute to a much more ambitious goal: transforming the whole economy into one that creates social as well as financial value. In 2021, we partnered with social enterprise news network Pioneers Post on the Cities of Impact project, which included two series of articles. One was showcasing impact businesses in Timisoara , and one, which is summarised below, was exploring the steps we’re taking to build an ‘impact city’. From education to market access, nurturing neighbourhoods to facilitating capital, find out more about how we accelerate the transition to a new economy.
Timisoara is home to many social enterprises that put people and the planet at the heart of their work while also generating jobs and income. In 2021, Timisoara Impact partnered with social enterprise news network Pioneers Post on a series of articles turning the spotlight on just a few of these innovative businesses found on the streets of Timisoara .
Building Better Business, a collaboration between Timisoara Impact, the City of Timisoara impact entrepreneurship initiative, B Lab, and Economy for the Common Good, aims to help mainstream companies accelerate their social and environmental impact and get certified for their performance.
